What is the manufacturing method for a Permalloy core?

2022-10-20

Permalloy refers to an iron-nickel alloy with a nickel content between 35% and 90%. Permalloy is characterized by high permeability in weak magnetic fields. Their saturation magnetic induction is typically between 0.6 and 1.0T. Currently available on the market Permalloy Core are all integrated, and integrated cores waste a lot of space during storage or transportation, making them inconvenient to store and transport. Therefore, it is necessary to invent a new type of Permalloy core to solve the above problems.

To achieve the above purpose, this utility model provides the following technical solution: A Permalloy core, including a core, a core 2, and a fixing plate. The core has a connector block fixedly connected to the middle of one end, and the core 2 has a connector slot in the middle of one end. The connector slot matches the connector block. The fixing plate is provided in two pieces, and the two fixing plates are connected by threads and screws. The core and core 2 both have threaded holes that match the screws.

        Permalloy Core

There are four screw groups, and the four screws are evenly spaced. The number of threaded holes is equal to the number of screws. The core and the second core are stacked with multiple perforated plates, and the perforated plates have positioning holes. The core and the second core are fixedly connected to the fixing plate via screws. The two fixing plates are symmetrically arranged relative to the core.

When installing this utility model, insert the connector block of the Permalloy core into the open connector slot of the second core, then align the fixing plate and screws with the threaded holes of the core and the second core, and screw the screws into the threaded holes to firmly fix the core and the second core to the fixing plate. The core and the second core can be separated when not in use and need to be stored or handled, thus avoiding space waste during storage or handling and saving more space. During disassembly, simply unscrew the screws from the threaded holes to separate the core, the second core, and the fixing plate.

Performance characteristics: This Permalloy core has high initial permeability in weak magnetic fields, low saturation magnetic induction, low coercivity, and high resistivity. Low hysteresis and eddy current losses, stable temperature characteristics, and normal operation in the range of -60℃ to 300℃.

  Applications of Permalloy Core:

  (1) Alloy large cores are used as high-precision and stable current transformer cores for power systems. Due to their low saturation magnetic induction, they help ensure the safety factor of the instrument.

  (2) Current transformers use Permalloy micro-cores. Various micro-motor zero-sequence transformers, power factor transmitters, various leakage circuit breakers, core components of leakage protection products, leakage protection plugs, high-precision instruments, meters, etc.

  (3) Permalloy Core Mainly used in high-precision digital clamp current meters, measuring instruments, instrument power relay protection systems, communication networks, computers, aerospace, aviation, navigation, pointing instruments, automotive instrument magnetic shielding protection, etc., and can be processed according to user requirements.
